Secaucus Police Blotter 01/16/2023 - 01/22/2023

On 01/20/2023 at 6:56 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a theft incident that occurred at Jimmy Jazz located at 80 Enterprise Avenue, the police responded to Kearny, NJ and arrested a 57 year old male, Luis Rivera of Jersey City, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Rivera was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/21/2023 at 11:31 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 51-year-old female, Joesette Colclough of Jersey City, NJ for 5 outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $875.00 and 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Colclough was also charged with Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Jersey City and Secaucus did release Ms. Colclough on her own recognizance pending future court dates. Ms. Colclough was issued her complaint summons along with 6 motor vehicle summonses and she was released from police custody.

On 01/22/2023 at 2:30 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Benjamin Martinez Portillo of Union City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Martinez Portillo was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 01/22/2023 at 6:45 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 7th Street and Flanagan Way on a report of an individual in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle who was reportedly asleep. During the investigation, the police arrested a 43-year-old male, Luis Tineo of Ridgefield, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Tineo was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 01/22/2023 at 10:41 AM, this agency was notified by the State Parole Board of an outstanding NCIC warrant issued for an individual who resides in Secaucus, NJ. A motor vehicle stop was conducted of the individual’s vehicle and the police arrested a 29-year-old male, William Shutte of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Office of Probation Services with no bail. The police also arrested a 36 year old male, Jason Flores of Teaneck, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] along with a 27 year old male, Isiah Medina of Union City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Flores and Mr. Medina were issued their complaint warrants and all 3 individuals were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/22/2023 at 10:00 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Oscar Garcia-Jeronimo of East Orange, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Garcia-Jeronimo was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
